I sent you a couple of emails direct to you regarding some of your other questions. Let me know if you get them.
I remember the large sign out in front. I also remember in the mid 60's, the smaller part of the building to the left was a slot car place. You can see this smaller building in the brochure from 1959 that is on the web site. I am not sure if that part of the building started out as a slot car place........I am thinking originally that was the archery area. There has to be someone out there that knows some good history of the building. kcked

Wow! I did not know that! Awesome. So, no car dealership says many. Many may have mistaken it because of the shape of the building appeared to be car dealership. Thanks kcked!

Mark,
You might want to check out this link, gives info as to what was there before the rink was there.
I grew up in Mattydale spend a large part of my youth there. I too would like to dig into the history of the rink.

I have a few questons related to Sports-O-Rama. Any of you know what the place used to be prior skating rink in 1959? What the name of it in pre-59. Another thing, was there any crimes happened at the rink? Fighting or even assult or even anyone had a weapon in the rink?

Anybody died at the rink? I am doing a research on the other side of the rink's offical history that are untold. Like murders, death, things like that. Please let me know and I will look into it further. I heard some paranormal activities there. Thank you!

This is such a blast from the past...anyone remember The Wheel Masters? I was a member and used to volunteer rink guarding around the same time. I saw Legs, Betty and Chris' names. Where is Art, Danny, Splits and the rest of the team? Great site and thanks for all the memories!
